Explore our beginnings

Horseshoe Lake Ventures began its journey in 2011 as a humble farm equipment parts and repair store, built on a passion for quality and a commitment to serving hardworking folks.

Over the years, our roots in the agricultural community grew stronger, fueling our desire to expand and innovate. In 2021, we embraced a new chapter by relocating to a spacious 3,200 square-foot facility in town. This move allowed us to broaden our horizons and enrich our offerings with auto parts, tires, feed, and a wide array of farm supplies.

Today, while our storefront may have evolved, our dedication to the local community remains unwavering. We continue to blend tradition with innovation, ensuring that every product and service we offer upholds the quality and care you’ve come to expect.

Justin Martin

Owner/Manager

Hey, my name is Justin, and I want to thank you for visiting our website. My wife, Alice, and I have owned Horseshoe Lake Ventures since 2011. We have 5 children, 3 girls and 2 boys. I was born in McBride, and my parents have farmed here since 1961. Our goal in business is to be able to satisfy the needs of our customers in the automotive and agricultural industries. We want to thank all our loyal customers for your support and wish God’s blessing on each one

Douglas Torkelson

Hi my name is Douglas Torkelson. I was born and raised on a small farm near the Village of LaGlace in Alberta. In January of 2024 I moved to the beautiful community of McBride BC and started working for Horseshoe Lake Ventures, while working here I have enjoyed the privilege that this job gives of getting to know this community and the challenge of meeting the unique need of each customer. My desire and vision is to be a service to every costumer in way that brings glory to God.

Jesse Steiner

Customer Associate

Hi, I'm Jesse Steiner. I was born and raised in Hague, Saskatchewan and worked for my dad in our mechanic shop. In the spring of 2019 I was offered a job at Horseshoe Lake Ventures. After prayerful consideration I made the move and joined the team in June 2019. I help with sales and ordering parts. I'm also the service writer for the mechanical side of Horseshoe Lake Ventures. I love the diversity this job brings and it's been a pleasure being a part of the team. My goal is to push customer satisfaction and help to grow the company to better fill customer needs.
